Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be a resident of Queens, New York

  • Be a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled undergraduate student

  • Demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement

  • Submit a complete application, including essay, transcript, recommendations, and supporting documents

Application Deadline: March 30, 2026
Award Notification: April 2026

Greater Queens (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is proud to announce its 2026 LEGACY Scholarship Program, providing financial support to outstanding students from the borough of Queens who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service.

As part of our mission to empower the next generation—and in celebration of our 30th Anniversary: The Emerald Legacy — 30 Years of Friendship, Service, and Leadership—we are investing in students pursuing higher education and careers that will positively impact their communities and beyond.


 

Scholarship Opportunities

We are pleased to offer multiple scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $5,000, including:

  • Juliette Hansen Educational Scholarship – $5,000

  • HBCU Scholarship – $5,000

  • Patricia A. Thomas Legacy Scholarship – $2,000

  • Services to Youth Scholarship – $3,500

  • The Arts Scholarship – $3,500

  • National Trends and Services Scholarship – $3,500 (Undergraduates Only)

  • International Trends and Services Scholarship – $3,500 (Undergraduates Only)

  • Health and Human Services Scholarship – $3,500 (Undergraduates Only)

Note: Children of members of The Links, Incorporated are not eligible to receive scholarship awards from the Greater Queens (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.
